About Habits
Did you know that around 40% of everything we do on a daily basis is habitual? This means that a big part of our lives is almost entirely on autopilot! Think this through for a second and how that affects your life. Do your habits empower you or disempower you?
  • The Habit Loop is a neurological loop that governs any habit

    The loop consists of a cue, a craving, a routine & a reward.
  • The Cue

    The cue tells the brain which neurological pathway it should use to get to the reward fastest
  • Repetition is mother of all learning

    Neuro pathways are like recipes (for an action) They join a group of brain cells together. The more often the recipe is used the stronger the neurological pathway becomes.
  • 21 days - 6 months

    It takes between 21 days - 6 months for a deep neurological pathway to form
  • The Reward

    The reward comes at the end of the loop. It is a 'feel good' chemical called Dopamine

Neural pathways, comprised of neurons connected by dendrites, are created in the brain based on our habits and behaviors. The number of dendrites increases with the frequency a behavior is performed.

When brain cells communicate frequently, the connection between them strengthens and the messages that travel the same pathway in the brain over and over begin to transmit faster and faster. With enough repetition, these behaviors become automatic. Reading, driving, and riding a bike are examples of complicated behaviors that we do automatically because neural pathways have formed.

Why?
Have you ever met a very wealthy person who has been through a couple of divorces? Or a social butterfly that is in and out of hospital? It becomes obvious that if you spend too much time working, socializing, playing sport etc you may run into problems in one of the other areas of your life.

We are all gifted with the same number of hours in a day. The difference between happy and less happy people is the way they choose to spend their time. As noted above, it takes time to build a habit. If you spend all your time in one area of life, whatever you neglect has the potential to rip the carpet out from under your happiness.

Aside of the time needed to build a habit, according to Stephen R. Covey "Habit is the intersection of knowledge (what to do), skill (how to do), and desire (want to do)"
Knowledge
H-App coaches each specialize in one of the key pillars of happiness. They have spent years learning about the pillar and have in-depth knowledge of what habits work to strengthen the pillar. Their knowledge is shared with our members via blog posts under the relevant pillars wall or on the coaches profile page
Skill
The H-App coaches compile activities that you can follow on video to help you build the skill required to get the full benefit of the habit you are attempting to grow. The activities are grouped into programs that run for a minimum of 21 days. To add spice and variety, we have a minimum of 2 featured programs per pillar, per month
Desire
Desire and the energy(motivation) it creates affect our intentions and actions. It either gets us moving toward something we want, or away from something we do not want. H-App helps you maintain the motivation until the habit is established. Our coaches are available for one-on-one coaching if the default features available fail to keep you motivated
SMART Goals
You have probably heard of David Allen's wonderful book Get Things Done (GTD), and anyone who ever had a manager would have learned about SMART Goals. H-App included the complete GTD framework to help you capture, process and act on your goals

The finance pillar deserves special attention. Although money cannot buy happiness, in the world we live in it has become an absolute necessity. It is unfortunate that many of us, spend the majority of our time focused on this pillar. For most people, their level of stress rises and falls in direct proportion to their bank account balance. When their bank account is low then stress is high. When their bank account is high, then their stress is low.

Earning
We believe that the only way to balance the work-play scale is to make money while you sleep. To this end 50% of your H-App monthly subscription is paid into the BizSafe MLM Program. To start earning off the program all you need to do is get two or more friends to join you on H-App. For every friend that joins you earn 50% of their subscription, plus you earn a smaller percentage of their referrals subscriptions, up to 8 levels deep
